There is now a public defibrillator attached to the front wall of the Wingham Fire Station
(pic supplied by Alan Colyer).
With the other public defibrillator at the other end of the village in the old High Street phone kiosk, hopefully we are well covered should the need ever arise.
The High Street Defib was donated via our County Association (KALC) from a Kent Fire & Rescue Service grant. KALC have now been recognised nationally with a NALC Star Council Award for their initiative to install Defibs across Kent – 112 in all so far, 21 supplied using the KFRS grant. They know of 3 lives already saved since the initiative started.
