This month has seen several big steps forward with the plans to build a new £26m leisure centre to serve the Dover district.
We’ve published the first edition of a regular newsletter that will keep you up-to-date with news and information about the plans. In this first edition we feature news on the land deal at Whitfield, the submission of the planning application (reference: DOV/17/00305), and the start of the process to appoint an operator for the new centre.
Design & Facilities
The newsletter also includes the latest computer generated images of the proposed building designed by GT3 Architects and showing extensive use of glazing, vibrant colours and striking timber elements to give the centre a fresh, contemporary feel. There is also an update on the facilities, including starting blocks and timing pads in the county standard competition pool, along with Poolpods providing easy access for people with disabilities.
Remember, you can also sign-up for regular e-mail updates about the new leisure centre with Keep Me Posted.
