Collection Dates for Refuse and Recycling

Residents are advised to put out refuse/recycling by 7.00am. Persons unable to carry out refuse/recycling to the footway should contact DDC on 01304 821199. Refuse left on the footway in black sacks may not be collected. Purple sacks are available for those with access problems for wheelie bin. Electrical items put out with the normal refuse will not be collected. For bulky items, DDC will collect for a small charge, call 01304 872428.
RECYCLING (collected on same day, alternate week to household waste/green waste)
Green Food Kitchen Caddy: WEEKLY TUESDAY COLLECTION. For all food leftovers including fruit and vegetables, out of date food, bread, rice, pasta, beans, meat & fish – raw & cooked including bones. No plastic bags please.
Blue lid wheelie bin (or blue boxes): FORTNIGHTLY TUESDAY COLLECTION. For glass bottles and jars (including lids), food and drinks cans, kitchen foil, empty aerosol cans, plastic bottles, plastic (but not plastic film or bag) and metal food trays, yoghurt pots, margarine tubs, ice cream tubs, cartons (tetra packs)
Black box (or blue bag): FORTNIGHTLY TUESDAY COLLECTION. for newspapers, magazines, junk mail, directories and catalogues, envelopes, cardboard, cereal boxes, paper bags.
HOUSEHOLD REFUSE AND GARDEN WASTE (collected on same day, alternate week to recycling)
Grey wheeled bin (or purple sacks): FORTNIGHTLY TUESDAY COLLECTION. For any remaining household waste which can not be recycled.
