With the assistance of the Kent Resilience Forum, Wingham Parish Council wil be producing an Emergency Plan for the village.  Two councillors have now received some training on this so it can be taken forward, and the plan will be made available here once complete.

In the meantime, please click here to view the Kent Resilience Forum booklet which aims to help all residents with the question, 'What should I do in an emergency?'.  ‘It’ll never happen to me.’ That’s what everyone thinks. Until it does. No matter how careful you are, there are some things you can’t control.  Yet it’s not hard to make sure you’re properly prepared for an emergency.

In any major emergency there will be a wide range of organisations involved in the response. Each of them will have their own job to do. The Kent Resilience Forum brings all of them together so that they can plan in advance how they will deal with larger emergencies.  The Kent Prepared website http://www.kentprepared.org.uk/ tells you about the work that the Forum does, and describes some of the risks that we face in Kent and Medway. But more importantly, it gives you information, so that you know what you can do to help yourself, your family or your business. It also gives you links to other websites that also have useful information.
